From mentoring incoming freshman regarding course scheduling or internship experience, judging high school robotics competitions, and participating in weekend retreats my SPM experience is the most rewarding part of my undergraduate journey.
A recent experience involved my freshman mentee students placing 2nd in the Electrical category during this semester’s Geaux Engineering design competition. Their design was a smartwatch concept with a Bluetooth tracker used to to display the population density of public spaces nearby. The idea was presented as a way to help people on a cruise ship during the Covid-19 pandemic.
